chronic bad breath
For people with chronic bad breath, life can be a constant struggle of keeping their distance from other people, and never kissing them or even whispering to them. The complaint can be very debilitating and traumatic. It can change the way a person lives their life, how they socialize and can even lead them into a life of solitude.
Often one of the first reactions that people have when they first learn that they have bad breath is to brush their teeth far more regularly than usual. In addition they may floss more — use a mouthwash… only to become devastated once more when the quick fix doesn’t work. The fact that their mouth may feel clean and fresh unfortunately doesn’t mean that odors coming from it are likewise clean and fresh.
The thing is that most bad breath cures only target the mouth as the source of the odor whereas in many cases the offensive odor comes from the stomach. While digesting food the digestive tract can emit certain odors into the bloodstream that then get carried to the lungs where they foul the breath.
This indicates that when effective oral hygiene and consultations with your dentist fail to eliminate your halitosis, it may be time to look further afield and talk to your doctor, because the problem may be caused by a serious condition such as diabetes.
It is more usual though, that your bad breath is the result of what you are eating and you will need to determine by trial and error just what foods actually cause your halitosis.
